I've Moved

Written by evan on August 20, 2008 at 10:59 PM

I finally made the move from blogger to wordpress.
And, I am back with a decent design, since mine bombed with blogger.

With that, I'm am making a couple of changes.
I won't be posting on multiple sites either, (sorry Myspace & Xanga fans) but it was too big of a pain to post to. I'm done with copy and paste and copy and paste. I've done that for almost 3 years.

Myspace blog hits.
I don't want to lose you guys, look below for ways to stay connected.

Here are a couple of ways for you to stay in touch with my blog.

  1. Subscribe to my RSS feed. What is an RSS feed? Basically it means you don't come to my blog, my blog comes to you. If you are already subscribed to my RSS feed, I tried to use the same feed, so you wouldn't be lost in the conversion, but I'm not positive. So to be safe make sure that you are subscribing to this feed.

  2. Subscribe via email. Have me in your inbox. Each time I post, it goes straight to your email.

  3. Get the full experience, by going to evancourtney.com

Also to those who have bookmarked, linked or stalked me, evancourtney.com used to forward to blogspot, but now it stays with evancourtney.com so be sure to update:)

I'm really pumped with the new setup.
It means more blogs and more content:)

IF YOU ARE READING THIS GO TO EVANCOURTNEY.COM
I WILL NO LONGER BE POSTING HERE.

What is Rickrolling?

Rickrolling is an Internet meme involving the music video for the 1987 Rick Astley song "Never Gonna Give You Up". The meme is a bait and switch: a person provides a Web link they claim is relevant to the topic at hand, but the link actually takes the user to the Astley video.

Roots

Written by evan on August 14, 2008 at 11:17 AM

For the next four weeks First Assembly is doing a teaching series on four roots of the christian faith.

teaching schedule

8.17 - Salvation - Evan
8.24 - Healing - Pastor
8.31 - Baptism of the Holy Spirit - Travis
9.7 - End Times - Pastor

questions
Last sunday we announced our new series and provide each person with a card, where they could ask any questions on the four topics, and the pastors would try an answer as many as possible on the specific sunday.

We also developed an online survey for them to ask questions. Survey.

I took a day of vacation last week.
And then yesterday was my day off for the week.
I love to fish of my days off.

I thought this was a great picture.
At Lake Sangchris they have huge power towers running thru the lake.
You can actually hear the electricity when you are under the cables.

The Pipeline Olympics

Written by evan on August 4, 2008 at 10:45 AM

For the month of August, we have divided The Pipeline into three teams.
Each team is competing for points.
The team with the most points after the five weeks, wins a "Party at the Lake".

Each night at The Pipeline we do games, and then we talk about Olympics Moments in history.
Last night we talked about the 1972 Munich Olympic basketball game between USA vs USSR, and then we talked about the Olympic moment in the bible with Noah.

Here is the shot put with a melon.

Our goal by the end of the month is for more students to know God, and to pubicly display knowing him, thru water baptism.
We signed up two people for baptism so far last night
