Who is the must see band?

Written by evan on August 6, 2008 at 1:01 PM

This Saturday I'm going to see Weird Al.
He puts on a great concert.
Got me thinking about the bands that I've seen that've put on a great show.

Weird Al

Mute Math

Mewithoutyou
Hootie and the Blowfish
Warrant
Quiet Riot

Who is the must see band?

Mute Math hands down. I saw them 4 times last year.

I know... I'm a freak.

There are a lot of runners-up, but there's no question: David Bowie.

Pink Floyd does a good show and for pure music that sounds great live Rush is a good show as well

david crowder is great..the bodeans in a small venue are tremendous but hands down Rush is the most immense, sensory elite show ever. You know it's good when on some songs you can't hear the music cause the fans are so loud (think old blackhawks game during the anthem).
For country fans brad paisley is pretty good too

I would have to say that my two favorite bands to see live is Steve Taylor and Bare Naked Ladies. Both put on great shows.

Of course, Motley Crue put on a great show back in the late 80's early 90's as well, but their shows now can be pretty raunchy.

I've only ever been to Linkin Park. POD was there, too. I thought it was great, but have nothing to compare it to. And yes, I was GA right up at the front if you can picture that

RADIOHEAD!!!

I've seen Dave Matthews 6 times and never get sick of seeing them.

David Crowder Band is great.

And yes, I'd go see Pink Floyd in a HEARTBEAT if they toured again!

The two best concerts I have ever been to are:

BB King- It was amazing. I was even working at the concert.

Simon and Garfunkel Reunion Tour- My bro bought me a ticket because I didn't have any money.

After last night, I definitely have to say Backstreet Boys! After 15 years, they still have it going on!

By far the two best live shows I've seen to date were :
Tool - They are intense to watch - not so much for the leaping around stage (which they really don't do) but for the pure CRAFTMANSHIP they bring to a show. I don't know how else to explain it, except that when they do live it's just...wow.

Wierd Al - I have to agree with you on that one. He's got to be the hardest working man in showbiz today, and it shows in his enthusiasm and performance.
